Our Week

Tomorrow we celebrate the arts by visiting the Ringling Museum in Sarasota. I've asked everyone to look up John Ringling and find out how he amassed such a great art collection.

Wednesday we have the last PT vocab/spelling quiz on chapters 18 to 20.

We did a Math Unit 9 practice test today. On Wednesday we will go over it for the unit 9 test is Thursday.

This week kicks off our second month long Colonial America project. This time we are looking into how the Colonial Americas sustained themselves. We are also learning how the foodways have changed from then to now. Each student has selected a food important to Colonial Americans. They are to discuss the project guidelines with you this week. Most of the research, report and technology project will be done at school. You will be invited to see the results next month.

In writing we are wrapping up the invasive species project. The revised stories are due Thursday.

Don't forget our special Earth Day project April 24th. The guidelines are in an earlier blog entry.

We all wore hats today and maybe regularly around here.....all part of a school-wide campaign to be more safe in the sun.
