Where Was Mr. Hughes This Summer? Part 1


I arrived back in my New Mexico (now vacation home) during the beginning of the worst wildfire season in memory. We quickly decided to escape the smoke and dust storms by driving six hours northwest out of the state for a week. Where did we go?


By the way, this was the first video I shot with the new camcorder the class gave me as an end of the year gift. Below are a few of the images and videos taken with this camera on my summer travels. Thanks to everyone for a now indispensable tool.

Tourists travel from all over the world to view the rice terraces. It's the world's most populous Moslem nation, but we saw mostly Hindus.


A civet cat or mongoose helps produce the world's most expensive and unique coffee produced here.

Pink Dolphin Village: Where Was Mr. Hughes? Part 6



This fishing village at the mouth of the Pearl River is where the Pink Dolphin sightseeing boats depart. The people traditionally live on their boats or stilt houses. It took an hour over twisty mountain roads to get there.
